How to add a bill and mark it paid

Add a monthly bill, mark it autopay, and record when it's paid. With a bank connected, Pitch In spots the payment.

Anyone who sees the household's money.

  1. 1

Go to Bills and press “Add bill”.

  2. 2

Fill in “What is it” and the “Usual amount”. If it changes month to month, like electricity, tick that it changes.

  3. 3

Under “How often” choose “Every month” and pick the day. Choose which account it’s “Paid from”.

  4. 4

If the bank pays it on its own, tick “Autopay”. Press “Add bill”.

  5. 5

When it’s paid, press “Paid” on its row, check the amount and date, and press “Record payment”.

Worth knowing

  • With a bank connected, a matching payment shows as “Looks paid”. Press “Yes, paid” or “Not this”: nothing is marked paid until you say so.
  • An autopay bill a few days late shows “not through yet” rather than overdue, since banks are often slow to post it.
